With its property and data protection measures, the gridscale data center in Frankfurt is one of the most modern facilities in Germany. Multiple redundant air-conditioning systems maintain the right “operating temperature” in the data center. Modular recirculating air cooling units for the IT areas and peripheral ventilation systems with energy-optimized operating points ensure energy-efficient cooling production. Adherence to the climate specifications is monitored remotely.

The gridscale data center has a redundant, fully independent power supply and a multi-level security system for the energy provision. In addition to its own transformer station and powerful UPS systems, this also includes the availability of emergency power batteries and several diesel generators, including storage tanks with special resupply contracts. If the primary power source fails completely, the data center can continue to operate without interruption and without any restrictions, even at full capacity.

Not only high-performance access to your data and systems, but also the Internet of Things and other network-based real-time services place high demands on the quality and reliability of the data center connectivity. Fiber optic lines and multiple redundant high-speed connections with direct access to central Internet nodes and carrier hubs ensure a lightning-fast connection of your IT with the “outside world”.  

The gridscale data center is certified according to the strictest national and international standards by renowned accreditation bodies. Comprehensive certifications document the quality of the technologies used and the high level of service in dealing with demanding business IT. These include, but are not limited to, certifications for IT security such as ISO 27001 or for sustainable energy management such as ISO 50001. The data center is assigned to the high security level TIER-3.
