gridscale expands European site network and extends cloud services in Amsterdam data center
Cologne, Germany, November 24, 2022 – gridscale, cloud technology provider from Cologne, Germany, is now offering all IaaS services in its data center in Amsterdam in addition to its data centers in the DACH region. The cloud platform is provided in a multiple-certified high-security environment of the data center operator maincubes and meets the highest requirements for operational security and data protection. While until recently only storage capacity was available here for gridscale customers, companies can now access the entire IaaS offering.
“With the expansion in Amsterdam, we can offer particularly favorable conditions for our cloud infrastructure and at the same time continue to drive our expansion internationally,” explains Henrik Hasenkamp, CEO of gridscale.
In addition to its locations in Germany and the Netherlands, gridscale has been represented in several regions of Switzerland and Vienna since last year, and further European locations are already being planned.
“Our customers benefit from this in many ways,” explains Henrik Hasenkamp. “For example, thanks to uniform technology, workloads can be flexibly moved between the different regions at any time and optimally balanced to meet their respective requirements in terms of data protection level, latency and cost efficiency. With the new European locations, gridscale is increasingly opening up its cloud offering to interested SMEs in the Benelux countries and other neighboring countries of Germany, offering an attractive and customer-oriented alternative to the globally operating cloud computing services. Hundreds of customers in the DACH region already rely on geographically distributed cloud deployments and use the flexibility of gridscale to their advantage.
