gridscale certified to environmental standard ISO 14001
Cologne, Germany, September 14th, 2022 – gridscale, Cologne-based provider of IaaS and PaaS solutions, is now certified according to the international environmental standard ISO 14001. At the same time, the certifications for the international standards ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 were renewed and, with ISO 27017, a further standard related to the data security requirements of cloud service customers was met. The certifications honour both the high level of professionalism in handling customer data, and the company’s operational excellence and sustainability in day-to-day business operations.
“Sustainability has become a decisive factor in the value creation of companies, and this is especially true for the IT industry. Companies must live up to their ecological responsibility,” says Henrik Hasenkamp, CEO of gridscale. “At the same time, sustainability has also become a clear competitive advantage. The energy crisis currently shows this in a very special and dramatic way. With this certification, we are demonstrating our active commitment to the sustainable and ecological provision of our cloud technologies to our customers and partners, what we would like to increase even more in the future.”
The certifications cover all deployment and operational aspects of the gridscale technology and range from the IaaS/PaaS platform to the network connection and container orchestration to all managed services. New findings are continuously incorporated into the management system in order to constantly adapt security and sustainability to the latest findings and changing framework conditions.
