Why did we start gridscale?

During the last 15 years we have been able to gather lots of experience in the hosting and cloud market. We did create lots of products and services, most of which are still successful today.

In 2014 it became apparent to us how complex and complicated most cloud products are from a user perspective, let alone the pricing models. They are far away from being transparent and are hard to understand. Our partners, customers and employees enjoyed using these products less every single day, driven by their non-intuitive interfaces.

We realized that the positive development of the IaaS and PaaS market would be a great chance to make our vision of an easy-to-use, intuitive, highly available and flexible cloud service become reality. It is important for us to have happy customers and we are very pleased about the great feedback we get from our users today.

We have built an architecture that allows us to grant a zero-downtime guarantee. We combine this with a maximum of flexibility and a maximum of individualism of any IaaS and PaaS components. This is what our users call freedom. But this flexibility not only means that you can combine whatever you want on gridscale, this also means that we only charge what you have used – per minute! Do not pay more than you need.
